A Beginner's Guide To Makeup- Part 1
First of all, let me tell you that make up is and should be a personal choice. I am in no way asking you to start using make up if you're not comfortable with it because you are beautiful with or without it, and let no one tell you otherwise. :)
Secondly, entering the world of makeup with so many brands and products can be a bit overwhelming, to be honest. I still struggle to find the right products, but trust me, only and only the right products will make a difference. To help you out, I have listed some of the products that you can start working with if you are a beginner.
PS. I am just talking about base and contouring in this one. I will write about other products in the next post. All the products are the ones that I have tried and tested.
1. Primer
A primer is very important as it provides a smooth base for your foundation and makes it last all day long. This step should really not be missed. Some of the primers that I swear by are-
•Innisfree no sebum blur primer- INR800
I have finished two tubes and it's just amazing. It controls oil, gives you a matte finish but doesn't dry up the face.
•Colorbar perfect match primer- INR 660
•NYX proffesional make up shine killer- INR 1425
2. Foundation
For a perfect base, try and find the shade that complements your skin the best. DO NOT try to go for a lighter/darker shade than your natural skin tone, as it would look unflattering. I like using liquid foundations but you can also go for mousse or powder based depending on the coverage, and type of skin you have.
Maybelline Fit Me matte foundation-INR 575
3. Concealer
For concealing the pigmented areas, go for a shade that matches your skin tone. But if you want to brighten up or highlight some parts of your face, choose a shade lighter than your skin tone but have the same undertone. If you do not know what I am talking about, there are a lot of tutorials on You Tube that you can watch and understand it better.
LA girl pro conceal hd- INR 535
4. Contour
I don't contour my face on a daily basis. And it is not a must follow step if you are just trying to figure out how to do make up. But if you do, these are my best picks.
•Maybelline NewYork V face duo stick-INR 650
•NYX professional makeup wonder stick- INR835
I prefer contour sticks over powders as they are easy to use and the finish is just perfect.
5. Loose powder/compact powder
