10 trends to look forward to in 2018

It’s that time of the year again when people place their bets on what’s going to be worth anticipating in 2018. There’s a whole lot of different styles that are going to make their way on the racks this year. Hoping that 2018 will be another successful year for the fashion industry, here are some of the trends that you can look forward to this year. 

1. Ultraviolet

By now, you must have heard about the Pantone’s colour of the year, Ultraviolet. Expect a lot of it flooding this year’s collection. The colour is refreshing, bold and edgy, all at the same time.

 2. High Slits

2017 introduced us to some major high slit goals. From runway models to celebrities, everyone was found rocking the side high slit trend, may it be pants, or dresses. Talking about 2018, it seems like the trend is here to stay.


3. Corduroy

Corduroy is making a major comeback in 2018 and I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s a perfect transition between workwear and weekend wear.

4. Bold mix prints

Prints, prints on prints, bold prints, florals and even a combination of prints that you thought would never work together will be seen in this year’s spring collection.

 5. Fringes

Everyone has had a fling with fringes in the past, even Marilyn Monroe. Keeping the sass in mind, fringes are going to be everywhere this year. Make sure you add a thing or two with tassels in your wardrobe, too.

 6. Statement oversized earrings

The trend that was loved in 2017 and is still trending in 2018. Oversized metal earrings, hoops, minimalistic statement pieces are just the things you need to pump up your outfit.

 7. Denim on denim

Whoever thought about this trend in the first place is a genius. The denim on denim duo is going to be strong as ever in 2018.

 8. Tweed



Old school, British country side silhouette with modern cuts and twists is all over Instagram and magazines this year. It is perfect for the cold, so grab it while you still can.


9. Fanny packs

Yes, you read it right! It’s time we forget about the cute backpacks and slay it in style with fanny packs this year.  

 10. Wide legged pants

Wide legged pants are still going strong and you’ll see a plenty of these comfortable bottoms in 2018, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
